This is a big irritant for me, too.
I wonder if IBM is familiar with CRM. As in knowing your customers.
I, too, believe we should revert to the good old days, when the CSDK was readily available. IMO, I should be able to get all software to which I am entitled from PA. But, then, that is another ugly thing, in and of itself.

The point is that making customers jump through unnecessary hoops – especially ones that treat them like they're not customers – is a good way to lose customers.

Tom,
less than 20 questions ( just 3 or 4 ) like this

So you won't spend 3 hours replying to them, in addition to the 3 hours you (i.e we) have to spend searching for a URL that does not lead to a deadlink ...
Those URL had been provided by Milind a few years ago and they kept working fine since then (including now)

Can you download directly from those links, or do you have to play 20 Questions?

I agree, but as it stands, that's what we've got. You can understand that they want to opportunity to reach out to anyone downloading free product in the hopes of selling them something that generates revenue.
Anyway, I will bring it up with IIUG Board and so with IBM.

That's the one that webroot complained about maybe two clicks in. This time it worked, but I still had to play 20 questions as if I'm a prospective customer. I'm an existing customer, and I should be able to easily download the product without jumping through all those hoops!

Here's the link:

It's billed as a "trial" but there's no expiration to it and the CSDK is free anyway. Just scroll down to the "Client Software Development Kit" box and click on the "Try free edition" link there.

Why do IBM and HCL keep hiding the CSDK download? It used to be less of a big deal because it was bundled with the engine. Now it no longer is, and the only stuff available on Passport Advantage is 4.10 and older or the Windows versions of 4.50. When I try to download via the iiug.org link, it gets about two click in before webroot declares that I'm being redirected to a phishing site.
I should just be able to get it through PA like everything else, or via FixCentral if that fails.
