Installing and configuring IBM Db2 Administration Foundation for z/OS by example

IBM® Db2® Administration Foundation for z/OS® represents the strategic direction for managing Db2 for z/OS data with a modern graphical user interface. It provides a variety of features for navigating the Db2 catalog, analyzing and tuning SQL statements, creating and managing SQL workloads, and working with accelerators. The process of setting up a Db2 Administration Foundation environment from scratch requires several additional components such as Zowe and IBM Unified Management Server for z/OS (UMS).

To help clarify and simplify the overall installation and configuration process, we’ve created a set of instructions that are based on real-life scenarios that covers Zowe, UMS, and Db2 Administration Foundation. We’ve included detailed examples of the Zowe yaml configuration file, the commands for installing Zowe, and the commands for starting the Zowe server. We’ve also included instructions and detailed examples for installing and configuring UMS and Db2 Administration Foundation.

We hope that new Db2 Administration Foundation users will find this paper to be a valuable resource. You can download the paper from here:
