According to the What's New Release Notes for Version 93, PAfE should now include a simplified Universal Report called Static view.

From the Documentation:

To create a static layout from an existing View or Exploration View in Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel:

1. Click the Task Pane.
2. Expand the cube that contains the view from which you want to create a Static Layout.
3. Right-click the view.
4. Click Universal report (static layout), and select where you want to create this report.

Does this work for anyone? I have tried in 2 different environment and do not see this option.

I have the same issue. I also tried 2 different versions and upgraded my dev server to that latest IBM PA IF and it still does not work.

I'm encouraged by your engagement here of course, we'll have more to say about it very-soon. (I'll have the doc realigned for current-accuracy)
