  • 1.  Planning Analytics version 2.0.9.18. after installation Architect does not appears

    Hi everyone,

    I would appreciate you help and if anyone encountered such a problem. Maybe it is not directly related due the Planning Analytics, but I hope that someone can help me.

    We are upgrading to the Planning Analytics version 2.0.9.18. and we are in the middle of the installation and configuration. 

    What happened, the installation completed successfully, but Architect is not visible in start menu or anywhere in the system, it looks like it is not installed at all. 

    We already used this installation files at some customers and we didn't had an issue, but on this customer on the new machines (it is full upgrade on the new machines) we have an issue. 

    We believe that it is some security issue and that something is blocking it, but we have already disable real time protection, we have added an folders to the Exclusion rules. 

    Does anyone had an similar issues and encountered such a problem to share his experience?

    Hi Valentina

    Is it possible that your end users are using 32bit MS Office? Your previous version may have supported use with 32bit Office but the new version clients will only work with 64bit Office. Installing on an end user PC with 32bit Office may result in the behavior you are describing. Even though the shortcut is not appearing I think you will find that the software has installed to the \program files\ibm\cognos\tm1_64\bin64 directory and can probably be run from that location.

    Hi Paul,

    Thank you very much for your help. We have managed to open the Architect through the  \program files\ibm\cognos\tm1_64\bin64. 

    Aldo, we have an situation that the Applix folder in the ProgramData doesn't filled automatically. Did you have situation like this? 

    We have now copied it from the "old" production server in order to be able to finish the configuration, but usually this folder should be populated automatically.
