    Hi all,

    Hope all is well!

I am curious how everyone is experiencing the new functionality with Planning Analytics

PA on Cloud has also made changes in areas like workbench - https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/planning-analytics/2.0.0?topic=2wnj12-use-modeling-workbench-create-maintain-your-model-beta

PA continues to invest in areas like Plans and Applications - https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/planning-analytics/2.0.0?topic=2022-whats-new-in-plans-applications-2082

    Hello Paul

In the new set editor in PAW there are no options for filtering by attribute, just on the element name as far as I can see?
That is still available in PAfE. Presumably at some point you will be synchronising the two set editors, will the ability to filter by attributes be added back in?
(and would it have improvements for additional filtering options like OR?)

Also TM1SET sounds very good but I haven't seen anyone get it to work.
An example video demo would be helpful.

    Thanks
    Keith

    HI Keith,

Filter by Attribute is lurking in the Filter on the left pane:

Does not work on Aliases but you can tweak the MDX if needed.

For TM1Set, apparently this only works on local installations. I did get something going but have not done much investigation.
A demo video with all the options and use-cases would definitely be great and save everyone time.

    HI Paul,

I hope you are keeping well, and thanks for the updates for the new version.

I was wandering if you can help with the below:

There is a new version of 'Cube Viewer' in PAW that includes a new functionality at the top left hand corner of the view 'Target Selection'. This function is creating some confusion among 'Classic View' users and I was wandering if there was a way to hide.

I worked out that I disable the 'Border lines' option from the properties of the cube viewer the 'Target Selection' is removed but so the 'border lines' of the view which I would like to keep. Also the size of the top column height is not longer fully adjustable as the 'Target Selection' event when hidden occupies certain amount of fixed space in the column section.

For example on one of my client they only have the option for the new view after the upgrade, they are currently in 2.0.80

Some users are capable of taking the advantage of the new function but the majority of the user population are finding a bit difficult to understand and used properly.

Is there a way to disable the 'Target selecting' column from the new view, or is this an enhancement request ?

'To have a section under 'custom' to enable/disable 'Target Selector' from the view so if disabled this section of the view will behave as the classic View one.

    New view Target Selection

    Disable border line 'Custom'

    Classic View 'Column Height' adjust

    Regards Eddie

    Hi Eddie,

This was raised on the last AMA and the feedback was along the lines of:
Look at moving Target selecting to the toolbar and clean up from top left corner of the widget.
Symmetric expand/collapse to be added too. Modifier keys to be added to allow you to start an asymmetric selection etc.

Sounded like this was an idea being discussed but no exact functionality or commitment to dates iirc.

EDIT: There is an idea loaded with a status of planned for future release: https://ibm-data-and-ai.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/PAOC-I-1002
