I feel like I should mention that CogBox does include controls for exporting reports and dashboards into powerpoint. The dashboard version will export the full dashboard with each tab becoming an extra slide. For reports I have a custom control that allows the author to make a pixel perfect PowerPoint.

This will work with the new client-rendered graphs, and should work with any custom visualizations and schematics as well.

Thanks!
Will be using some other tools for the task.

Based on the 2nd screenshot above, there are no objects (elements) in the report that can be imported into PowerPoint. The report must have at least 1 List, Crosstab or Chart. Visualizations (11, 10, etc) are not compatible with Cognos for Office plug-in, unfortunately

Hi Dagur -
Can you give more detail about what happens after you click Import Content? I have used the Cognos Analytics for Office Plug-in quite a bit the past 4 years and I know there would need to be a few selection options satisfied in the Import "Wizard" dialog before Cognos will import the data.
- Where: Navigate to report you want to bring into PowerPoint
- What: Navigate within the selected report to the data containers within the report that are desired and selecting them
Are you getting the import dialog?
Regards, Mark

Trying to connect a Cognos Analytics Report into a Powerpoint presentation.
I managed to connect Cognos Analytics to Microsoft Office using the IBM Cognos for Microsoft Office add-in, but when I do Import content ... nothing appears on the slide. Doing View Report from the list of Imported report elements also gives me nothing. Any suggestions here?
More users lean towards Power BI where this is so easy !
