  • 1.  Audit Extension Warning - "Performing a flush of RA items to database after batch limit reached"

    Posted Thu December 07, 2023 11:00 AM

    Hello All,

Have anyone encountered this message for Audit Extension - "Performing a flush of RA items to database after batch limit reached."

Only some Roles and Groups are written to the database and when researching found this warning message, I have played around with c11AuditExtension.properties and none seem to correct this warning. As this solution is not supported by IBM, i am relying on the community for best next steps. Any help is appreciated.

This is the c11AuditExtension.properties file content.

    Hi Udaya,

I am looking into that info message, which I see in my logs as well. I wanted to know where you are looking for the Roles and Groups. Are you running a specific report? Some reports won't show them unless there is an association with a user.

For example, if you don't have anyone assigned to the Consumer group, Consumer won't show up in certain prompts. That is specific to the model.

    Hello Trevor,

Really appreciate you looking into this.

So there are certain roles, example TM1User role and there are users associated with that role.

When looking into the query subject Role Audit -> Users by Roles/Groups I do not see that getting populated. There are many other roles too, which has users but not showing up. Please see the image below and i am hoping i see the entire list.

    Thank you,

    Udaya.

    Hi Udaya,

Where do you expect to see these items? Are you running a specific report?

Also, are you using the original model and packages from the install or did you grab the ones I posted recently in the technote?

    Hello Trevor,

As i mentioned in my earlier message i was hoping to see in the standard Audit extension package query subject Role Audit -> Users by Roles/Groups. I am using the original model and packages from the install. I am not using any specific report. Customer report requirement is very specific so i developed a customized report for them using the item in query subject Role Audit -> Users by Roles/Groups

Sorry could you please share the ones you posted in the technote, i might have missed it,

    Thank you very much.

    Udaya.

    Hi Udaya,
You may want to try the Deployment and Model from this technote. There was an earlier one published that had an issue returning some data.
    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6963231

I tested out a few scenarios here I don't see any issues. Below are a couple baseline tests from my system.

    Hello Trevor,

Thank you very much for your replies, very helpful. Customer is on a very lower version of CA that will lose support coming Feb. We will suggest them an upgrade.

    Thank you,

    Udaya.
