I did some investigation in relation to your PAX exploratory views. It appears that excel formatting does not get save.
One of the option would be to work with a different type of report. I have included information about PAX reports.

The Use Server/Excel formats options for an Exploration seem to apply for an Excel session and are not specific for a Workbook/worksheet/exploration. We want this set to Excel formats for a particular saved Excel exploration, however if the user has changed back to Server formats (another exploration) then opening this saved report will mean that all Excel formatting is lost. Have looked at the API functions and can't how to set this option in there either.
