    I just got the IBM Certified - Developer Cognos Analytics V11.1.x Certification and I was wondering if it makes sense to try also the

    IBM Cognos Analytics Author V11 certification. Because they kind of overlap.

    Does anybody knows about the differences between the two of them? Would it make sense to have both of them?

    I made a training available at coglitics.com (although this training is more for beginners), and also viewed a lot of free videos in Youtube from companies like PMSquare, LPA Software, IBM Learning services, Coglitics, ... and of course I also made my own reports and dashboards in the Analytics Cloud to assimilate what i viewed in the videos

    There are also online assessments exams to test your readiness for the certification exam in pearsonvue.com/ibm

    Hello @Alex Santamarta, you have the most current certification; there is no need to take the older certification, unless you are using older versions of Cognos Analytics and want to validate your skills. Authors are now considered developers, in Cognos, hence the name change. Congratulations on earning your certification! ​
