    Hi Folks
Has anyone seen performance issues with dashboards running in 11.1 ?.
I upgraded from 11.0.12 to 11.1 and since then dashboards are taking over a minute to refresh.
Let me explain a little more...
    - Simple tabbed dashboards built against data module running against SQL Server 2016 are taking over a minute to refresh/update
    - Once initialised the performance seems to be ok 1-2 seconds to changes/filters applied against the dashboard
    - If I close the dashboard and reopen it I get the same minute delay
    - I have caching set to automatic and have tried setting the caching to be ON and both result in the same delay
    - I have tried updating the JDBC drivers for SQL Server and updating to later fix packs - to no avail.
    - I've followed this URL around dashboard performance tweaking.... https://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=ibm10737507&myns=swgimgmt&mynp=OCSSTSF6&mync=E&cm_sp=swgimgmt-_-OCSSTSF6-_-E

Has anyone seen similar issues ?.
    Cheers
    Nick

    Hi Nick,
I've not seen a similar issue during our testing of 11.1.1 ( we are currently using 11.0.13).
Do you get the same issue if you use something other than a data module? I've tested with packages, cubes and data sets so far between our environments and haven't seen any performance drops.

    Hi Jonathan
Thanks for your response - glad to hear you haven't seen this issue !.
I get the same performance degradation whether it is a data module, cube or package.
I've tried just now with the old gosales sample cube and it takes nearly 45 seconds to pull back a single revenue measure into my dashboard and it takes a similar amount of time to pull back the metadata view of the cube itself beforehand.
I've just updated my server to 11.1.2 and did a completely clean install just in case any issues crept in between upgrades...sadly the same issue persists :-(

That is strange and certainly isn't replicated in our environments.
With regards to the cube data sources we did have an issue with data retrieval (not speed but errors) that were fixed by simply republishing the package that points at the cube within the admin screens. From the top of my head when you view the data source connections its under the more section of the package and select Create package. i just overwrote ours with the same name and it corrected our issue.

Appreciate its not what you are seeing but may be worth a shout, especially if your data sets are being built from a package or cube.

Have you logged a case yet with IBM? Be interesting to hear their suggestions.

    Hi Jonathan
Thanks again for your response !... really appreciate your time on this.
I did create a brand new package based on the sample gosales cube again to rule out any migration/upgrade issues - I find it bizarre that it takes so long to read the contents of a file (data and metadata).
I have logged the issue with IBM support, so i'm hoping they can help me get to the bottom of this horrible issue !.
    Cheers

I had the same issue with 11.1.2 after in-place upgrade over 11.1.1. rolled it back. :(

    Hi Oleg,
Did you raise this with IBM support? Did you get any communication back?
I was about to install 11.1.2 into a dev environment but its making me think twice at present.

No. We had only one evening to try. All previous upgrades were easy and straight forward.
