Cognos Analytics 11 - OpenID Namespaces converted to Generic

By ANTONIO MARZIANO posted Tue October 29, 2019 06:08 PM

There are situations when there is a need to switch from a native OpenID Namespace to its equivalent using the Generic Namespace. This could be when there is a need to leverage custom claims created by the IdP  like "employeeID" for the username. Alternatively, where customer's use IdP's* which are not part of the current list of supported OpenID Namespace Providers then using the Generic Template will allow customization to be more flexible to accommodate the back-end IdP vendor configurations e.g. KeyCloak, OneLogin, AWS InCognito, AppID etc..

So the purpose of this blog is to simply list each of the main OpenID Namespace Providers and show the equivalent Generic Namespace.
