The latest release of Cognos Analytics 11.1.4 provides new and enhanced capabilities that enable business users to get  more answers to their business questions. There are a wide range of new capabilities that we are excited to share with you, and they range from updates to the Information Distribution license to Analytics Viewer license to enable a user to access and interact with dashboards, to improved cross-tab functionality and enhancements to the AI assistant.

Some of the key highlights are:

• Ability to predict future results (which account for seasonality trends) with Time Series Forecasting 
• Support for custom visualizations that can be uploaded directly into a dashboard or report
• A better Explore experience for new users - with greater clarity in showing suggested starting points in a new exploration and more options when using the Compare card
• Access to new data sources: Live connectivity to weather today (via the Weather Company)
• New Key Performance Indicator (KPI) visualization widget showing comparison to target and trend
• Enhanced Cross tab functionality - improved layout, more visible drop zones, and selection formatting
