The latest version of Cognos Analytics updates the Information Distribution license to allow users to run and interact with dashboards.
The existing Information Distribution licence will be renamed to Analytics Viewer, there is no action required on your part.
To take advantage of this new licence you will need to be on 11.1.4
As an administrator navigate to capabilities and add your users to the dashboard capability.
Make sure they are not listed under the create/edit option under dashboard.
Now in team content navigate to a dashboard and change the options for the users you added above to have run access to the dashboard.
Now those users can run dashboards and they will be reflected in the licence counter.
