This is a video the SWAT team has created to
introduce and show what makes
Watson AIOps - Metric Manager.
Jason sets the scene and then takes us through the bits and pieces that make the solution. He talks about
integration of monitoring data, how the data gets processed, the AI capabilities and the different algorithms.
First thing Metric Manager does once it receives data, is a so called base lining, which shows us what to expect
at a certain point in time. Once this base line is there, you will see a corridor and a mapping of current data to
this corridor.
There are several algorithms that try to determine if there is an abnormal behavior forming in my environment.
One is e.g. regression to see if we are going to cross a threshold anywhere near. Another one evaluates the
volatility of the data and if there is a significant change you will also get notified.
