Managing Modern Middleware in a Hybrid Cloud Environment. It Isn't Your Father's Middleware Anymore.

Tue June 13, 2017 07:08 PM

The middleware layer of technology has grown dramatically and more complex even before the advent of Cloud. Originally a client server model to bridge different OSs, the stack now includes along with messaging, application servers, integration buses, transformation layers, perimeter appliances, and micro-services. Besides the daunting task of getting them to run in harmony, there is the task of keeping them all current. Now there is the capability of taking some of the management of these environments off our hands via Hybrid cloud offerings. However, how much of that can we move to a cloud; public? private? How do choose, how do we manage, how do we secure, how to we see all the moving parts, support them, and triage issues?

Speaker: Peter D’Agosta has been in IT for 35 years. Cofounder and Product Manager at Avada Software, his background includes application and systems programming, enterprise architecture, consulting, management, analysis, strategic 24/7 systems including airline, banking, and internet, as well as technology innovation. Peter oversaw infrastructures for airlines, branch banking, and online service companies before moving into the software vendor arena where he worked with new innovations in email, messaging, portal and web service technology. Interspersed with engagements for some of the world’s largest companies, Peter’s varied background provides him a unique perspective in applied technology.
