Select an Export Format for Cost Transparency Integration

On the Cost Transparency Integration settings page, Admin users can choose a data export format to publish plans to Cost Transparency:

  • Publish Months for all Fiscal Years as columns in a single row: This option publishes monthly column headers using the date format Period number, followed by the fiscal year. Example: P1 FY2017

Publish months and fiscal years as columns in a single row

  • NEW! Publish Months for all Fiscal Years as individual rows: This option includes a Date column for the month and fiscal year for the row and an Amount column with the appropriate amount for that period and fiscal year. This option uses the same date format, Pn FYyyyy.

Publish months for all fiscal years as individual rows

Cost Transparency Integration export format

Note that you will need to update your Cost Transparency configuration to support the new data format.

On the ITPF Budget Transform and ITPF Forecast Transform datasets:

  1.  (optional) Remove the January Amount - December Amount columns - these are no longer required
  2. Apply a row date filter on the Date column
  3. Add an Amount Converted column where value=ConvertCurrencyToBase(Amount,Currency,"Plan")
  4. Map Amount Converted to Cost Source Master Data's Amount field

To retain historical data and configuration, these changes should be applied in the fiscal year where the data format is expected to change, otherwise you can apply the changes to the start of the project. The Apptio ITPF Integration component will be updated to reflect these changes in a future content release.

Improved Error Banner Message

We've updated the error banner message to include a unique error code rather than the generic 'E10000' error code. If you experience an error and want to help, contact your Apptio Administrator with the error code and a short description of what you were doing when the error occurred.

Will an index be created to outline what each error code means?
