ASAP University: Using Parameters, Variables and Variable Tables For Different Routes Through Automation

Variables and parameters are objects to which you assign different values and are useful when you have values that change depending on your job streams and jobs. Job stream, job, and prompt definitions that use them are updated automatically at the start of the production cycle. In this webinar you learn how to reuse your scheduling definitions by leveraging variables as substitutes for repetitive values when defining prompts, jobs, and job streams.

Speaker: Rick Post has been in the IT field for over 30 years and currently leading the Workload Automation team at UW - Madison. Rick started in Operations at Lands' End on the mainframe a long, long time ago. The force was strong with him! UW still has mainframe technology; however, most of its work is done in the distributed environment. The Workload Automation team is currently upgrading to v9.3.2, which Rick hopes to complete in time for ASAP University 2017. While not being an IT geek, Rick enjoys bowling, golfing, riding motorcycle and remodeling his house with his fiancée, Marianne.
