 SPSS Profile Plots rendering as flat horizontal lines

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing an issue with generating Profile Plots in IBM SPSS Statistics. The profile lines generated in my output are completely flat/horizontal, whereas my classmate running the same dataset and procedure gets curved/angled profile lines.

  • Problem: Profile plots render as flat horizontal lines.

  • Troubleshooting already done:

    1. Checked the dataset and variables—they match my classmate's data.

    2. Verified the variable assignments (Horizontal Axis vs. Separate Lines) in the Plots... sub-menu.

    3. Reset the GLM procedure settings back to default.

    4. Adjusted the Y-axis scale/bounds in the Chart Editor.

    5. Reset user preferences in Edit -> Options -> Charts.

Despite these steps, my profile plots still render as flat lines across all datasets I test.
