    A good news for application developers.  A new open-source Db2 for i application client that replaces OBDC and JDBC is now available:  IBM Introduces Mapepire, The New Db2 For i Client at https://www.itjungle.com/2024/09/09/ibm-introduces-mapepire-the-new-db2-for-i-client/              

    Mapepire is a venomous pit viper from South America.

    "Mapepire is a venomous pit viper from South America"  as opposed to ODBC which is a venomous pit viper from Microsoft.  :)   

    Can't wait to see what ChatGPT does with that one.
