  • 1.  HMC V9 Redbooks

    Hello Group,  I am just starting out trying to learn about HMC.  My System Admin wants me to start learning about it.  The problem I have is... I cannnot find any Redbooks on HMC V9.   Please if anyone can send me anything they find on HMC V9 books I would greatly appreciate it!!  My email is superdavepctech@msn.com

    P.S.  Also if I read HMC Version 8 Redbooks would that teach me anything or is HMC V9 totally different?

    Is difficult find documentation "updated" about HMC .. while search for "Enhanced" or "updates"

     Version 8 have "similar" interface and functions to HMC V9 ... read enhancements ...

    Hi Dave, could you learn using an HMC version 8 Redbook.
    Next, you should do some research on the improvements included in version 9.
    Also, something you should keep in mind is to start using the GUI enhanced version of HMC.

    Hi Dave,

       GUI on V9 is different from V8 where V8 used to have 2 options Classic & Enhanced , but V9 only has Enhanced UI. You can find some useful information about UI at  links https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/enhanced-gui-links-documentation and there are a set of blogs including what's new in the different versions of HMC , recent enhancements etc at https://community.ibm.com/community/user/power/blogs/hariganesh-muralidharan1/2020/07/02/list-of-blogs  .
