What feature about IBM API Connect that makes it the ideal option to consider for any form of the development process in IT? Is API connect a gateway?

    Hi Shivam,
IBM API Connect is not the API Gateway.  DataPower is the API Gateway.

IBM API Connect is the Platform that allows you to developer, publish and manage APIs on the Gateway. They both work hand-in-hand.

IBM API Connect has one of the best UIs to develop and test APIs I have come across thus far. APIs can be developed as v2 or v3 OpenAPI spec. Additional features include GraphQL.

Running an API platform allows for faster and decentralized development of services/interfaces within an organisation.

    Hope this helps.

API Connect is a fully featured, API Management Solution.  It is comprised of an API Manager, used for all aspects of the management of users, API's, policies, life cycle, API Development, and deployment configurations.  There is an API Portal used for providing access to developers and consumers of API's.  There is an Analytics component used for management and reporting of deployed API's.  And the last component is an API Gateway, which provides security, access management, and policy enforcement for the run time aspects of the deployed API's.

So, API Connect is much more than just an API Gateway.
