Any change the the DNS name would require all of your clients to change, so pointing DNS to the new environment would be the approach to take. Of course if there are issues you can switch it back as well. Have you been using curl/postman for test transactions to your v10 APIGW environment where you specify the current DNS name as your Host request header? That would simulate your actual cutover at the DNS layer.

We have built a APIC V10 environment and migrated V5 API's to V10 native API gateways and tested the V10 API's as well. Now we want to cutover the consumer API traffic from V5 to V10 without changing the API invoking url. So we are planning to point the domain name(DNS) from V5 DP gateway LB IP address to V10 DP gateway LB IP address to cutover the traffic from V5 to V10 environment. Please suggest is this correct way to migrate traffic from V5 to V10 without needing consumer apps to change the API invoking URL and suggest any pre checks need to be done at LB or DNS level?
