As the API Connect community continues to grow and evolve, we're constantly receiving tons of blogs covering everything from best practices and tips to new features and updates. Some of these blog posts have been around for a while, but they're still getting a lot of usage from our members as they provide a wealth of knowledge and expertise. In this post, we're reintroducing some of our most popular API Connect blog posts that are still as relevant today as they were when they were first published. Blogs and Links:
Migrating from API Connect v5 to v10 Reserved Instance
In general, migrating to Reserved Instance follows the same set of steps as an on-premises migration between v5 and v10 as described in the v5 to v10 Migration runbook although some of the steps will be carried out by the API Connect team on your behalf. The gateways deployed as part of the API Connect Reserved are APIGW only so the migration process below includes the porting of APIs to run on the new API Gateway without a need for compatibility mode and there is also no support for migrating Analytics data or visualizations.

Custom e-mail notification for your provider organization
One of the really useful but somewhat hidden features available in API Connect is the ability to customize the e-mail notifications that it will send to you and your developers at the provider organization level - allowing you to have different notifications for different audiences across your provider organizations however you manage your environment. This is particularly key in reserved instance as the global settings in Cloud Manager are managed by the API Connect team.
API Connect Developer Portal Security Features
The API Connect Developer Portal is your API consumers’ public access point and source of documentation and information about your APIs. It is often internet-facing and is normally branded with your corporate logos and colours. It is therefore important to keep it secure.
API Connect internal and external Certificates/end points explained
You might wonder how does APIConnect define and internal vs an external end point. In the documentation you will see examples and explanations of internal and external certificates and/or endpoints. In this document, I will try to help clarify this, and point you to some additional information for specific authentication types they require.
As the time goes by, I will reintroduce other blogs that we think could be useful to our community members. If you have a favorite blog that you still visit till this day, please link it below so that others are aware of it.
