In version 10.0.8, APIC Analytics introduces significant enhancements to help users access analytics data more effectively. Now, you can easily navigate to live analytics from both the analytics detail report and also from the Manage catalogs view. This update also features convenient buttons for direct access to detailed reports for catalogs and spaces, streamlining the data analysis process. Let’s have a closer look at these two powerful additions and see how they can improve your workflow.

Quick access to live data from detail reports

One of the key updates in v10.0.8 is the ability to jump directly to live data from detail reports. For instance, when reviewing the performance of an API or Product and needing real-time insights to understand current usage or performance issues, the "Jump to live data" feature allows quick access to this information.

If you're viewing an API report and notice an unexpected spike in errors, the "Jump to live data" feature enables quick navigation to the Discover view to explore what’s happening in real time. It’s available across reports for APIs, products, plans, and consumer organizations. The relevant filters will be applied automatically, saving time and making the data more accessible.

This is particularly helpful for troubleshooting or monitoring performance during high-traffic periods. Instead of manually setting filters or navigating through various screens, the relevant data is instantly available.

Seamless data access from the API Manager

Another significant enhancement is the improved access to analytics data directly from the API Manager's Manage Catalog and Manage Space views. Now, it’s easy to dive into detailed reports or live data for each product, consumer, application, or subscription.

Let’s say you're managing several products within a catalog. In the past, accessing detailed analytics required navigating through multiple steps, which could be time-consuming. However, with the latest enhancements in API Connect v10.0.8, accessing this information has become much easier.

Now, each product, consumer, application, or subscription features two enhanced buttons: "Live analytics data" and "Reports data."

If you want to analyse the performance of a specific product, you can simply click on "Live analytics data". This action will take you directly to the Discover view for that product, with all the relevant filters automatically applied, allowing you to see real-time insights without any hassle. The "Live analytics data" option is available for products, consumers, applications, and subscriptions within each catalog and space.

The "Reports data" option allows you to access detailed reports for products, consumers, and applications, giving you a comprehensive overview of the selected product, consumer organization, or application with just a click.

How these updates improve efficiency

  1. Faster troubleshooting: With direct access to live data, issues can be diagnosed in real time. For example, if an API is not performing as expected, instant access to live data helps track usage patterns and traffic anomalies.

  2. Streamlined reporting: Instead of navigating through multiple pages, access to detailed report data for specific APIs, products, and consumer organizations is now simplified, reducing the time spent gathering insights.

  3. Improved decision-making: With quicker access to both live and historical data, it's easier to identify trends and act on important insights, whether analyzing product popularity or reviewing subscription patterns.

The long term support version of API Connect v10.0.8 analytics significantly enhances the user experience by providing quicker access to live data and detailed reports. These improvements ensure that users can efficiently navigate and analyze their data, leading to more informed decision-making and better management of their APIs, products, and consumer organizations. With these new features, APIC Analytics continues to evolve, offering users powerful tools to gain deeper insights and drive their business forward.
