    Release 3.71

    Release Date: July 1, 2024

    View Fully Burdened Labor Cost

Budget owners can now easily view the fully burdened labor cost directly in the Expenses > Labor > FY total columns, eliminating the need to navigate to the Expenses > Summary section for this information. Previously, this column only displayed Base Compensation x Quantity.

For example, in the Labor tab, you can see a labor line with a FY24 total of USD 196,888. This amount represents the fully burdened labor cost calculated based on the configured Labor Allocation Rules.

The fully burdened labor cost is the sum of the general ledger accounts generated from Labor Allocation Rules in the Summary tab. As shown, the FY24 total in the Summary tab matches the FY24 total in the Labor tab.

    Bug Fixes

    • Resolved an issue preventing users with the Cost Center Owner role from viewing the Project Group Hierarchy in the Project menu when Integrated Investment Planning is enabled.
    • Resolved an issue where the "Resource is over-allocated by" and "Allocations on other lines" values were incorrectly calculated in the Analyze Labor Allocation view when over-allocation of labor resources was enabled for Labor Activity Planning.
    • Resolved an issue with the GET API that caused loading Reference Data to take several minutes to complete.

Fully burdened labor cost is really helpful and something we often got asked by users. This change will resolve some of the recurring questions and reduce that users need to jump into the summary tab to do their own calculations

    Thank you!

That's great to hear, Jonas! We have a few improvements planned for Labor planning later this year, including toggling between monthly cost or headcount and modeling multiyear labor compensation adjustments.

I am not so positive than Jonas on this new implementation. This only work if you have your actuals provided in the same granularity than your labor budget line. Which is not the case on our side as we receive actuals by cost object and we plan labor by individual resources. The FY24 total in the labor tab now reflect on our side  the ETC. Why did you not implement a new field instead of replacing the calculation of the FY24 total in the labor tab ? Is it possible to receive back a field which made the calculation Base Compensation x Quantity as before ?  I also hope that the purpose is not to do the same for the contract and assets tabs ?
