Hi Dario,
As Andrzej says you need to provide the updatedb log file.
A null pointer exception normally indicates that something has failed to:
- perform an earlier step eg set a value or create something
- a code problem - this is unlikely given that updatedb is a commonly used tool so code problems will be found very quickly
You should also provide more details:
Existing system information - this will help people consider if industry solutions are a factor
Is this a single jvm or multi cluster system ?
Is it websphere or WebLogic?
If you decide to provide the log file then double check it for any sensitive information and replace them eg xxxx
But note down the values because they may be relevant
