a customer asked me to study a tool to delete, modify, etc... Zabbix events because they are too much and nothing is readeble. I thought immediatly to Tivoli and the TEC. the customer has no access to IBM World.

y purpose is to get all Zabbix events and to use the correlation engine of NOI on these events.

For on-prem, the replacement is OMNIbus plus Impact. OMNIbus consists of the ObjectServer (the SQL-based event repository with triggers that can do simple correlations), probes (event receivers and "pullers", depending on the probe), and gateways (used primarily to send event information to some other system, like Remedy, for example). Impact runs in a JVM and is the high-powered event enrichment and correlation engine. Its big function is the ability to access any number of external data sources (whereas OMNIbus can generally only access its own database and local files).

As you can imagine, the actual structure is completely different from TEC, though the concepts of "event correlation and enrichment" are similar.

One catch is that neither of these products are purchasable individually. They are bundled with the Netcool Operations Insight package.

There are lots of other details, but that is the basic answer.
