  • 1.  Tables in TBM

    Posted 06/19/18 07:50 AM

    Good morning everyone,

Is it possible to delete a table or rename it in TBM Studio please?

    Thanks in advance :)

You can delete after you checked out table. The Delete button will become active.

Renaming is currently not possible (unfortunately).

To complete the deletion, remember to check the document back in (after marking it or deletion). After marking it for deletion, an icon will appear to next to the document's name that's similar to a Do Not Enter sign in the US.

    The table is checked out.

Just above delete, I see an option "Rename".
    But it is inactive.

If not for tables, any idea where I can use this "Rename" feature? @Karsten Leurs & @Matt Temple

@Phaneendra Sristi the rename feature is currently not enabled and is awaited by all of us.. lets wait for v12.6 as it might be in there.

I am eagerly awaiting this feature to standardize our naming conventions for tables...

How do I delete a table from January 2018 foward but leave it in 2017?  I understand I need to version it but is there a procedure somewhere that shows the step by step process?  Also, if I delete the raw table does this automatically remove the transform or do I need to do that as well?  Thanks.

Load a data set that is headers-only containing zero rows to Jan 2018
