  • 1.  Subtotal Average

    Posted 09/09/15 10:07 AM

    Hello everyone,

I'm new with Apptio so I would like to ask if there is a way to change the subtotal output in a table into an average. My problem is shown in the picture below :Capture.PNG

    Thanks,

I believe this has been addressed in an upcoming release, to make averages work on total/subtotal lines.

    Hi Mohamed,

if you can edit that formula column and uncheck the summable option, it should give you the average percent, and of course you have to select the percent format. Hope this will be helpful.

Thanks @Aydan Keresteci but the problem isn't with the column but with the subtotal option. I guess I'll just disable the subtotals.

Then, you can add a formula column and insert that table.column name in the formula section and make sure the summable is uncheck. Worth trying

I really believe, it can solve your problem, removing that summable option from the column, leave the subtotals there. You can check the out of box reports. Below is from the reference project, IT Finance - Account Variance report show like that:

When I check the column, it shows like this:

I tested this earlier and it works that way. Hope this helps.

Thanks Aydan I really appreciate your help I tried adding a formula column before it's real that it shows the grand average but it didn't resolve my problem since (it's not clear in the picture I attached) I have an hierarchical table and I really need the average per category.
