STUMPER: Pre-solved Q&A to sharpen your TBM and Apptio skills.

Solution posted in 7 days if nobody submits a correct answer.

I have about 50 end users who regularly review the reports I maintain and update.

Three of them sent me screenshots of the IT finance summary report from their web browser which look like this:

    KPI_notGood.PNG

For everyone else including me, the same report looks fine:

    KPI_Good.PNG

All of us are using the same web browser software (and even the same version).

What is the likely cause of the issue, and can it be fixed? If so, how?

You must have to versions of the report for the different roles

That's a good point. It is possible to have multiple versions of a report which correspond to multiple user roles.

But in my case, all 50 end users have the same role of Business User.

Perhaps they've changed the zoom setting on the browser? If so, hitting CTRL-0 usually restores it to 100%.

You were right. The users whose screenshots showed cut-off text had changed the zoom magnification level in their browser (e.g. CTRL+PLUS, CTRL+MINUS).

The quick workaround in this case was to edit the report and just slightly enlarge the bounding box (yellow box):

    KPI_yellowBar.png

...to give the KPI text a little bit of extra room, which prevents the web browser from auto-wrapping text at certain zoom levels.
