  • 1.  Staff number per month

    Posted 05/24/19 09:07 AM

    Hello,

I was trying to do a "Staff walk" per month in a chart showing all the values per month of the "Planned and Actuals  Headcount" but when I change the month period for a older one the data of the most recent doesn't disappear.

(What I want to show is for Jan only one blue dot and the plan in orange for all months)

Do you have any idea what could be the problem?

    Thank you,

    Alexandre Cardoso

    Note:

I upload my staff excel file each month.

Hi Alexandre, I assume that you are using the {Labor Headcount} metric in this report. This is a calculated metric for which the formula is =Labor Master Data.Labor Headcount I think this is therefore defaulting to always include data where it is populated in the Labor Master Data. I think that you would need to create a new metric that shows data only if the current period is less than the period of the data. This might you to bring in the current period in the Labor Master Data, you could use one of the Labor Meta Data fields to bring this in. Good luck!

    Hey Alexandre,

The best way to approach this would be to use "Month Year To Date" as Time criteria in your report. This should adjust the months shown in the chart based on period selected in the top bar. The future months will no longer appear.

    Hi Joe,

    Thank you for your answer.

In this graph, I use the Bugdet and the Actuals.

When I put "months Year to Date" it shows only the months until the period I choose. But, I want to show all the Budget and the Walk of Actuals.

Thank you for your answer once again.

    Regards,

    Alexandre Cardoso

    Hi Alexandre,

May I ask what the reason is that you don't want to show all the months of data?

I would assume that if you're looking at a yearly trend report, then you would want to see all the data you have for that year (i.e., YTD actuals, and full year budget/plan).

    Thanks,

    Guy

    Hi Guy,

    It's only a consistency reazon.

I have this graphs included in a report with more graphs (actual costs).

So, If I want to show for example my Feb position, I wanted to show only my Feb figures. I want to see a trend only until Feb, not the rest.

Do you know what i mean ?

    Thank you

    Alexandre
