  • 1.  Report Weirdness

Probably user error, but no idea what I'm doing here.  I keep adding formula columns to an ad hoc table, and they appear to work and save okay, but sometimes the columns move to a different location (end of the report, last column) or sometimes they just disappear altogether.  Has anyone run into that before or can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?  Thanks much!!

The report editor may not show what you're expecting to see in a few situations, e.g. if two columns share the same name or the same formula. If this describes your issue, try renaming one of the columns or changing one of the formulas.

Column order is normally determined by the order seen in the Rows and Values areas of the ad hoc query configuration dialog--you can try dragging column names within the dialog to set their new order. Or, you can drag the column header left or right in the report table itself. Another option is to freeze a column's position within a table, via right-clicking its header and then Freeze Column.

I don't like the Freeze column function so I have been able to get the labels to stay on the left side by making the values formulas even if they don't need to be formulas.  It works!
