Hi,

I have got error massage QE-DEF-0368 Unable to decrypt user name and password credentials from the content store when I am trying to use exist data source in Cognos 11.0.12 Framewrok Manager. Since we have changed some server connections I suppose that that is the reason, but we did not change anything about user or password. In Cognos Connection we have tasted connection and everything is OK, but in Framework we got the same error. FM is installed on local computer.  Even when we try to create new Data Source, the error exist.

We have the same project and on Cognos 8, there we do not get error but on C11 we got it. 

What is the best solution to solve this and prevent to happen again?

@Veljko - I would suggest regenerating the crypto keys for FM ​. Steps below:

1. Launch Framework Manager configuration and click 'File > Export As'

2. Choose 'Yes' at the prompt and save the file. For example, name it 'backup.xml' which will be stored in the c11FM/configuration folder
3. Close Framework Manager Configuration
4. Navigate to the FM install directory and delete the following (Make sure to take a backup before deleting)

· c11FM\configuration\cogstartup.xml

· c11FM\configuration\certs\CAMKeystore

· c11FM\configuration\certs\CAMKeystore.lock

and delete the directory

· c11FM\configuration\csk

6. In the c11FM\configuration folder, rename 'backup.xml' to 'cogstartup.xml'

7. Open Cognos Configuration, save the configuration
8. Test the issue again in FM
