Hi all,

We are currently importing the SAP actuals through datalink for IT Resource Planning (Project 1 in TBM studio).

Now we are wondering if we can upload the same data somehow for another Project (Project 2 in TBM studio).

- Is it somehow possible to send the data from datalink to two different projects? 

- Is it possible to link the respective tables in the two different projects? E.g. creating a table in Project 2, with the data source from Project 1?

- Instead of exporting the data from project 1 and upload it manually in project 2, do you have any other ideas? How do you handle such cases?

We love to hear your ideas and feedback.

Yes, Datalink has this capability. Assuming you have control to send the same file twice to the SFTP drop zone, you can duplicate the connector and set the 2nd connector to pick up the file 5 or 10 minutes apart from the 1st connector.

After you created the connector for the upload to Project 1, simply click on the "Actions" button and select 'Copy'. 

Once that is copied, edit the 2nd connector and change the 'Project' section to point to the Project 2.

If you cannot control the file drop, then you can simply create a copy connector by choosing Apptio icon in the new connector window.

and fill in the respective information to copy from Project 1 to Project 2.

That is very helpful!  In this case we need to check, that the file is sent twice  thanks a ton again for everything!
