  • 1.  PMCOUNTER no longer ticked by MIF Loaded WO?

    Posted Tue August 01, 2023 07:38 AM
    Folks,

Many years ago, I would load WORKORDERS with MIF and if I had the PMNUM populated it would actually update the PM dates and such and also tick the PMCOUNTER. I seem to no longer be seeing Maximo tick the counter any longer.

Does anyone know if IBM changed that behavior and stopped this from working any longer? Or might it be a bug in 7613?

When I needed to get around the PM being updated, I used to have to load my data with my PMNUM in a place holder column, load with MIF and then use an update to move the value into the PMNUM. Was a hassle but worked.
    Here is my system information:

    Hi David,

Have seen your posts here so I am confident you are smarter than the average bear. ;) Just to be sure I am fully following you:  You are using MXWODETIAL object structure (or appropriate duplicate) with the psdi.iface.app.wo.MaxWOProcess Inbound processing class yes?

If so, @Steven Shull any ideas? If not then (pardon for me saying this but,) try adding the inbound procession class and see what happens.

Other than that, did you do any post processing in the past on your own?

Sorry for delay getting back to you Bradley. I was at MaximoWorld last week. We are actually using a custom OS with nothing but the WORKORDER MBO on it. These are very basic WO with no plans/materials etc.. I think you pointed me to my issue. They did not associate the Processing Classes on the custom OS. Will let you know.

I actually am just seeing that the OOTB MXWO OS has no Outbound Class and the Inbound Class is psdi.iface.mic.StatefulMicSetIn.  We cloned that OS to create our custom OS. Why does this not use the psdi.iface.app.wo.MaxWOProcess  like the MXWODETAIL does? Could maybe adding that class make the difference?

    Thanks,
