  • 1.  Periods in columns

    Posted 09/24/20 12:24 PM

I am looking to add Periods to table columns. I added the Periods (Yr) Time to columns, however it shows me all periods that are currently "open" in the Project, it doesn't show me only until the Period my picker is on.

    For example:

My project is open until P5 FY21. If my picker is on P3 FY21, the table still shows P4 and P5 with cost, when really I only want to see P1, P2, P3.

What options do I have to do this? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

This question's a few months old, but have you been able to get this working for you?  Instead of pulling in Months(Yr) into columns, have you tried pulling in Months Year to Date?  I would think that will give you what you want.

    Thanks James,

I've tried this but it didn't work. For some reason that Time element doesn't realize that my FY starts in April so the range is very off.

Apart from the recommendation from @James Funk, consider changing the backing table in Cost Source from Ad Hoc to Monthly. That will prevent showing costs in future months, regardless of the period you're in, @Rachel Yaghoubzadeh.

    Hi Guillermo -

Thanks for your reply. It is currently set as Monthly. Still no luck :(

I think the issue is the Periods Year to Date isn't properly picking up our FY start period.
