No, it is not licenced for PowerVM but I have the same running on a 9117-570 but this one is a 1.9Ghz p5+ whereas the one giving me headaches is a 1.65Ghz p5. Both are just plain LPARS with dedicated processor, memory and i/o. Need to find out if it is a processor issue but cannot find any info.

Does the HMC contain any other serviceable errors that occured around the same time ?

If so, they might provide a clue as to the root cause of your problem.

Otherwise, I can only suggest -> a call to IBM h/w support is next.
