Greetings, what you are showing are the Table filters. Yes, these are also tied into the SQL used to build the data in the table, but these are typically shown after all the data is returned, and for the larger lists of users, the wait would be too long... I am actually talking about some new support that was added to the USERS page

This is a pop up that is shown when you enter the Users page... its a Pre-filter

While the updated version of Java would be nice, it's not the root cause of this issue. With 7.5, changes were made to improve security on some items, Users and what Users can and cant see are one of those areas. Details on this can be seen in the MTU, but a side effect of this is the SQL Services Users_Info (Which is the basis of the Users and Groups navigator pages) run slower when dealing with a very large number of users on a system. A new version of Navigator was released last week Sept29, and the HTTP PTF Group has been updated to this new level. In this update the Users page for Navigator will first prompt you for search criteria before displaying the list of users. By pre specifying the users you are looking for, the ability to return data can happen. Allowing the SQL engine to filter the data being returned before its returned makes a big difference. Additionally, we are working on getting an update to this service to help with over all performance when dealing with large lists of users. We encountered a similar issue with Active Jobs, and were able to enhance the underlying service as well.

Dear Erik
In release 7.5, Navigator for i runs with JDK 11 or 17 as of its most current HTTP group PTF. Do you, by any chance, still use JAVA 8? If not, the PTFs for Navigator for i is in HTTP group and according to this Technote : IBM Navigator for i - PTF Information at https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/ibm-navigator-i-ptf-information , the next 7.5 HTTP group PTF will be available in 2 weeks from now - 16 October. You may want to apply this one. But if it will not solve your issue, another possibility is that some JAVA folders in IFS was not upgraded accordingly during IBM i release upgrade. This kind of incidence has been around in quite a few release upgrade cases for a long time as far as my past experience went.

We have just upgraded from 7.4 to 7.5.
And used
Cumulative PTF package C3110750 - Level 23110
Technolgoy Refresh – Level 2
After the upgrade it is not possible to use "USERS" and "GROUPS" in Navigator for i.
When I try it just keeps spinning and finaly the message shows up "Failed to retrieve..."
It seems like there is a "bug"? maybe there is a PTF fix?
