I am interested in moving data to and from the cloud, I am referring to batch type of data GB’s in size. Scenarios would include sending a file containing campaign information to marketing cloud (part of the Salesforce solution) or sending sales transaction to a analytics provider. Calling services or API’s and exchange information that way is straight forward, but this method does not cover all requirements. What are the alternatives for GB’s of data? What we have been using in most cases is sFTP.

Hi Amanda, a good way of doing Batch like file exchanges (especially with Cloud Applications like Salesforce, Dropbox....) is App Connect and expose the flow as API. Aspera (https://www.ibm.com/cloud/high-speed-data-transfer) could be a good option. There are also other "streaming" services or as Peter suggested do a HTTP transfer of the data.
