  • 1.  Mochasoft password for pub400.com does not work for IBM i ACS,VS Code,FTP ,SSH & FileZilla

    Hi,

    Why the same password which works for TN5250 Mochsoft while trying to connect to 'pub400.com' works but the same does not work for  IBM i ACS,VS Code,FTP ,SSH & FileZilla with same user Id.

    If you set a password with ONLY English alphanumeric characters without any special characters at all, does the problem go away?

    Hi, 

    So were you able to use special characters in your password successfully everywhere (IBM I, Mochasoft TN5250, VS Code, FTP, FileZilla, SSH) if yes, what were your Host code page values and port numbers and language codes and default Windows OS encoded setting inside Mochasoft and IBM I ACS ? 

    As I tried  changing the password(with different special characters in it like @,$,* ) inside TN5250 Mochasoft with 037 US for Host code page value and default windows OS encoding, though it got set with these special characters inside Mochasoft but this password was not accepted by IBM I ACS with same error(CPF1120) when tried to connect and login to emulator TN5250 for pub400.com.

    Hi 

    Please ignore my last post by just changing my IBM i ACS profile Host Code page value(273-Germany)  ( similar to my Mochasoft ( 273 Austria/Germany) and with port number 992 (SSL/TLS).

    i was able to use  the password with special characters (which i had set on Mochasoft ) at IBM i ACS as well with above changes. 

    Also now this password which has special characters in it is working at Mochasoft, IBM i ACS FTP,File Zilla, VS Code for the same user id and password for 'pub400.com' except SSH. for SSH i am getting this error:-"Permission denied, please try again."

    What should I do to rectify this error now?

    Also by just changing these language and host code page values what exactly got changed for FTP,File Zilla, VS Code without changing anything inside their settings?
