We are working on IBM APIC Connect SaaS Base Edition. Our objective is to deploy objects from one instance to another.

We can see a download/upload feature for APIs and Products to migrate these objects from one APIC instance (eg. DEV) to another (eg. QA).

Is there a  feature for doing the same for Consumer Organizations, Applications, and  Subscriptions? Or do we have to recreate those objects in the target instances?

Hi Paul,

The IBM API Connect Config Sync utility which is currently available as a Technical Preview can be used to sync consumer side data (consumer orgs, members/users, applications, subscriptions and credentials) from a source catalog in one instance of API Connect to a target catalog in a separate instance of API Connect. 

I would strongly recommend reviewing the following blog post which outlines the capability of Config sync at a high level, provides a demo scenario of the tool in action and links to more detailed information about the configuration and usage of the utility in the IBM Docs.  You can sign up to access the utility through the Config Sync Early Access Program.

The tool can be run either as a standalone command line utility or configured to be run on a schedule via a Kubernetes CronJob in the cluster.  Given you are working with the SaaS deployment you would use the command line utility.
