I would open a support case before using it. We only enable it in the navigator application out of the box, but the navigator application has logic for the logout on a mobile device like invalidating the tokens in MAS. There are some pieces mobile has to do that aren't as relevant to the web but it's possible this won't properly invalidate the session.

We found something new and that there is a new property tag for MAXIMO-APPLICATION component.

Once you make this true, it gives you the user icon after create workorder blue plus icon when you click on navigator icon.
I am not sure why this is not set to TRUE by default. Were there any imacts due to this in RBA? Or were there any other reason for not using this?

This is an issue with the mobile version of the role-based applications. Traditional role-based applications like Operational Dashboard will not have this issue.
On mobile devices, we have a separate application called Navigator that provides all these options. But while you're in the web, you only have the one application (IE TECHMOBILE). In 8.11, we enabled the user to see all their other mobile application tiles along with a link back to the start center. In the next release we're looking at the profile options like logout, change default insert site, etc. We are not looking to have feature parity with the mobile navigator, but we want to provide access to the most needed touch points to provide a better user experience.
If you wanted to provide a logout you would need to add code to every application (a button with code behind it to handle the actual logout). I don't know what exactly your JavaScript code would need to be to handle the logout. Until we add our own thing, you may be better off getting them to update to 8.11 and having their users navigate to the start center to logout.

Our customer needed the logout button in RBA mobile applications like TECHNICIANS, ASSETMOBILE etc.
The reason behind this ask is that they will be accessing the RBA apps via URL directly, they asked to add LOGOUT option in RBA based apps.
Does anyone have any idea?
