  • 1.  Linking 2 tables in a report

    Posted 04/25/18 10:43 AM

I have 2 tables in a report, one on the Server object, and one on the Storage object. I need to refer to a column in one table from the other table. I know there is a way to link them, but can't recall or find anything on the syntax for doing this. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi @Elizabeth Lewis,

@Bhawna Singh is correct you can pull in fields from associated tables using Lookups in Apptio. For calculated columns that you want to display in reports using different tables you would need to lock the value to an object in a perspective in a different report table and then add to the value to the report you want to display the new field.

Here is a link to quick reference guide for all Apptio Functions: Apptio function quick reference (11.8 - 12.9)

Here is a link explaining perspective publishing: Tip: When should I publish a field to a perspective?

Also try searching "perspective" and I'm sure there are several other helpful articles out there.
