  • 1.  Labor Upload (with issues)

    Posted 10/21/19 11:38 AM

Hello everyone! I  am importing Labor Headcount right now and I am encountering this error.

I tried going back to reference data (Cost center) and see the cost object name, but it matches with what I have on my Labor file.

Anyone has encountered similar error? @Apptio UserAssistance @Debbie Hagen

    Thanks,
    Rose

Have you checked/updated the Cost Centers table as well?  The Departments and Cost Center reference data sets are linked (sometimes they are 1-1, sometimes they are not).  This means you may be trying to load line items into a Cost Object but the Cost Center in the data does not match the reference data.

Hello - thanks for your response. Appreciate it! Does this mean that

    (1) I should check first my Cost Center and Department reference data, respectively and see if they are in sync?

Cause what I only did is check the Cost Center reference data if it matches with the Cost Object column that I am trying to upload.

Looks to me like you're getting the error on the import of line items which probably means that you have a new Cost Object in your labor data that is NOT in your reference data.  If you reviewed the Departments & Cost Centers reference to check for missing items and they all seem to be there then make sure you PUBLISHED the reference data and then UPDATE your plan ("Update Reference Data" button) BEFORE you try to load line items. Make sense?

Hello, thank you for your help. I have figured this one out now. In the Department reference data, there's 1 cost center that was left Blank under "Default Cost Center Code" and Cost Center Code. So we need to fill those in and it worked! thanks so much for your assistance, appreciate your responses!
