  • 1.  ITPF e-mail notifications

Where can I find information about how the e-mail notification function works in ITPF.

I'm specifically interested in the e-mails generated when a plan is submitted, when a plan is approved, and/or rejected, and when a plan is open for edits.

    Thanks

    Hi Juan Jose,

There is a screenshot of what each looks like in the Apptio Launch Kit: IT Planning (ARCHIVED). You'll see them titled with "Auto Email:".

Tagging @Apptio UserAssistance to see if there is more information other than what is explained inEdit the company profile (Outdated; click for updated version).

Is it correct that there are no automatic e-mails triggered when a plan is submitted or approved?

There is an auto email when an action is required by a user. There is one for:

    Plan is Open (all CCOs)

Plan has been Submitted (to the Group CCO)

Plan has been Returned (to the CCO)

However, I don't think there is one for Plan has been Approved, since it requires no action. @Ngoc Le?

Shannon is correct. We don't currently send an email to the CCO when their plan has been approved.

If we have users who we don't wish to notify when a plan is opened (i.e. CIO or Corp FP&A) can we simply remove them from the Cost Center reference table so they aren't notified? @Jamie Bergdahl and I just wanted to make sure that was an effective way to limit notifications.

If you do that they will no longer have access to the CC data

Agreed, we'd likely re-activate them later in the process once they become needed, just want to avoid unnecessary email at the initial opening of the plan.

Another option is to revoke their access to the environment and grant them access when you're ready for them to use the application.
