  • 1.  Is it possible to use Azure Maps with Maximo Map Manager?

    Hello there,

As I'm sure some are aware Microsoft is retiring Bing Maps for Enterprise. Therefore, we are looking to move to another platform and Bing (funnily enough) wants us to move to Azure Maps. Looking in the Maximo Map Manager I only have the option for Bing Maps, Google Maps, and Open Map. Does anyone know if it is possible to configure the Map Manager to point to Azure maps instead? I don't appear to be able to find any documentation about it.

    Version: 7.6.1.3 w/ iFix018

You should be aware that in MAS the only Map Manager providers supported are:

    1. Spatial (ESRI ArcGIS)
    2. Openmaps (ArcGIS OR Openstreet)

Therefore I would take this into consideration when making your decision.

We are using Bing Maps in 761x version and took the matter to IBM for MAS and got the same reply that Bing is not supported on MAS though the Bing configuration is hidden is hidden in Map manager

We have started using ESRI/ ArgGis both vector and raster maps in MAS. Also for MAF (mobile) ESRI vector maps are preferred. Need to add Arcgis certificates to manage for the ESRI maps to work.
