  • 1.  Installing CPLEX in a Computer Lab

    Hello all,

    I know the CPLEX Optimization Studio is free for students and academics, and can be accessed through the Academic Initiative program (http://ibm.biz/CPLEXonAI). However, how does that work if I want to install this in a computer lab at my university? Should I have the IT person responsible for that follow the same procedure to download the software as I do if I were to install in my machine?

    Hi Fabio,

    Yes, the IT person who downloads and installs the software, as well as all the users who run CPLEX, should be members of the Academic Initiative program.
