Does anybody know the solution to this error?

I find it rather strange since the java file is actually found in that directory.

I could think of re-installing JRE or JVM before installing OPL.

The md5sum is the one mentioned above.
A re-install of the JRE did not help. The same kind of error comes up again and again.

What else could I try to get CPLEX being installed on the x86_64 machine?
(Btw. it works fine on another 32 bit machine)

why not installing as 32 on 64 machine? I am running that quite fine.

The installer requires the 32 bit libraries.

apt-get install ia32-libs
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib32

now call the installer and it works on amd64 as well...
