  • 1.  IBM Navigator for i -edit an authorization list

    In the IBM documentation : https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/authority-navigator-i-monitors, it looks like it's possible to edit an authorization list.
    But in my Navigator ugraded yesterday and the previous one it's not possible at all. We are running 7,5, TR5 with latest qhttp ptf.
    Has anyone tried it and does it work?

    Dear Erik

    From your reference URL, it indicates that you can do only "Adding a user profile to the [existing] authorization list" from the GUI. IIRC, I think one other thing you can do from the GUI is to assign an object to an existing authorization list - I think you do this from object's permission screen (I remember this could be done since the time of Operations Navigator for Windows GUI).    No other manipulation of authorization list object is available from the GUI.

    I would suggest creating an idea at https://ibm-power-systems.ideas.ibm.com/ideas 

    I do not see any option except messing with the objects in that authorization list.

    I don't see any appropriate option in iACS either.

    Run SQL Scripts:

    select *
    from qsys2.authorization_list_user_info
    where AUTHORIZATION_LIST = 'PLANNING';
    cl: addautle ...:

    Hi Erik,

    Thanks for bringing this up.  I have updated the page you referenced, as the statements you mentioned were conflicting with what is available today.  In New Navigator, we do not yet have the ability to Edit the authorization list.  It is on our list of gap items to fill in the final items not yet implemented.  You can find this list here:  New Navigator for i - future work.
