  • 1.  How to reset the password of the cloud-admin-ui in IBM APIC v10.0.5

    Dear All, 

    The team has set up the IBM APIC v10.0.5 in a private cloud environment. It's a standalone environment, and the admin has reset the password of the cloud-admin-ui account "admin" using the default credentials.  The login to the console of cloud-admin-ui was successful after resetting the password for the first time. Unfortunately, the login to cloud-admin-ui is not working now, and we tried to log in with a default password and a new password, but it didn't work.

    We have not created any organizations or registered any sub-systems to the cloud-admin-ui console. 

    Could you please suggest possible options to reset the password of the cloud-admin-ui?

    Hi,

    Did you setup a mailserver and set the email-address for the admin account in the Cloud Manager when you first logged in?

    If so you should be able to reset the password using the "Forgot password?" option on the Cloud Manager login page and receive a reset password link to the admin account's email inbox.

    Also I would recommend that you always create another Administrator account when you first login as admin as an alternate to the admin account.
    You can always delete this once you are confident everything is setup before any Go Live.

    Hello there 

    In APIC click on the command line then click on the APIC edit then find out the local then enter the new password then click on the save.

    Restart the APIC service
